ODrone Music Festival
The ODrone Orlando Music Festival in collaboration with Circuit Church music series will take place on Saturday, May 25, 2024 from 4:00 pm – 12:00 am at The Nook on Robinson (2432 E. Robinson St Orlando, FL 32803). The event includes 17 drone and experimental music groups performing in parallel on two stages — indoor and outdoor — from mid-afternoon until midnight. Additionally, artists will be creating live visuals during the festival, including Sasha King, Mychal Fakir and Omni. Admission is free. However, donations for the festival — and future Bandcamp releases — are appreciated and can be made at givebutter.com/odrone.
“The Festival celebrates drone music in all its forms — from purist-academic strains and all manners of synth-based compositions to the hum of more acoustic, pastoral soundscapes and even drone-based metal. It’s really about finding the answer to ‘What does drone mean to me,’” said organizer Derek Morton. “Along with the heart-beat rhythm, drones have long been part of the human experience — whether occurring in the natural world, urban soundscapes or music throughout the ages. And that’s what ODrone is about; making that personal connection to drones we all share, but maybe didn’t realize.”
The ODrone Music Festival features 17 acts throughout the event on two stages at The Nook in the Milk District neighborhood.
